This policy explains what Chop collects, why, and what you can do about it. Chop is a tool that automatically edits talking-head videos. It is operated by ATS Collective Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17374176), whose registered office is at 4 Shrub Road, Hampton Vale, Peterborough, PE7 8LW ("we", "us"). ATS Collective Ltd is the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR.

Why we are allowed to process it

How long we keep it

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account inside the app. This permanently removes your profile, your saved edits and any remaining credits, and cannot be undone. Your transaction history is anonymised rather than deleted, because we are legally required to keep financial records.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to processing. You can also ask for your data in a portable format. Email hello@chopedit.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. Stored data is encrypted at rest by our providers. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.

Children

Chop is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Cookies and local storage

We use local storage and IndexedDB on your device to keep you signed in, hold your editing preferences, and store your videos while you work on them. These are necessary for the app to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Changes

If we make significant changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, tell you by email.
